Fall is the perfect time to take stock of and reevaluate your possessions as you settle into a new space or prepare your current home for the changing seasons. In celebration of Climate Week and NYC’s fall moving frenzy, the SABAI showroom is hosting a drop and swap event that you won’t want to miss. Keep reading to find out how you can revamp your space and make a difference at Sabai’s Furniture Drop + Swap. 

The idea: Sabai’s Furniture Swap + Drop

The SABAI Showroom is hosting a Furniture Drop + Swap inspired by our closed loop ethos, which aims to minimize furniture waste ending up in a landfill. If you’re in the Brooklyn area, the idea is to bring unwanted furniture to our showroom for a scheduled donation [dates noted below]. You can then browse and shop all the other donated items for new-to-you household finds. With NYC Climate Week around the corner, what better time to re-purpose unwanted furniture and shop second-hand pieces? 

But that’s not all- when the Drop + Swap is over, we’re partnering with our friends at Lugg to help us donate leftover items to The Big Reuse,  an organization helping fight climate change through community-based zero waste initiatives. So the SABAI showroom is becoming a Stop + Swap and donation site all-in-one.

The rules: how to participate

To join in on the fun, swing by our SABAI showroom to drop off any furniture or household goods you're parting with. There are a few guidelines for acceptable donations: your pieces must be gently used, you must bring a piece to take a piece, and your item should be small enough to be carried by one person and weigh 15 lbs or less. Electronics must be in good working condition. Happy swapping!

The when and where: how to find us

The Furniture Drop + Swap is taking place from Sunday, September 22nd to Sunday, September 29th during showroom hours [Thursdays-Sundays, 11am to 7pm.] It will be hosted at our showroom located on 101 Grand Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11249. You can drop off your gently-used donations the week of the event during our open showroom hours.
