Is the Essential Collection non-toxic?

The Essential Collection uses non-toxic materials such as CertiPUR-US® certified high resiliency foam (no flame retardants or formaldehyde), FSC-certified plywood frames, and PFAS-free fabrics. You can read more about the materials used in our Essential Collection in our Help Center here.

How durable is the Essential Collection?

Every piece in the Essential Collection is extremely durable and tested to withstand at least 10 years of regular use. Each piece in the collection meets ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 Section 15 standards for Lounge and Public Seating standards, which is the same contract-grade durability benchmark used for commercial furniture. It's built to last.

What makes the Essential Collection sustainable?

Every piece in the Essential Collection is made to order using non-toxic materials such as CertiPUR-US® certified high resiliency foam (no flame retardants or formaldehyde), FSC-certified plywood frames, and PFAS-free fabrics. Can I expand my Essential Collection furniture later?

The Essential Collection is modular and designed to grow with you. Our Expansion Kits let you add additional seating to your existing piece.

Can I buy replacement parts if something gets damaged?

Life happens. With our Repair Don't Replace program, you can buy individual components - legs, cushion inserts, slipcovers etc. if something gets damaged, rather than replacing the whole piece.

Are slipcovers available for the Essential Collection?

Yes, slipcovers are available for the Essential Collection so you can change the fabric or color without buying new furniture. This also means if a cover wears out or gets stained, you can replace just the slipcover.

Where is Sabai furniture made?

Sabai's upholstered furniture is made in the U.S. with our family-owned manufacturing partners in North Carolina and Tennessee.

Is Sabai furniture pet-friendly?

Yes, Sabai furniture is pet-friendly. Our Recycled Velvet fabric is particularly resistant to pet hair. You can find out more about our fabrics in our Help Center here.
