What makes the Essential Collection sustainable?

Every piece in the Essential Collection is made using non-toxic materials such as CertiPUR-US® certified high resiliency foam (no flame retardants or formaldehyde), FSC-certified plywood frames, and PFAS-free fabrics. How durable is the Essential Collection?

Every piece in the Essential Collection is extremely durable and tested to withstand at least 10 years of regular use. Each piece in the collection meets ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 Section 15 standards for Lounge and Public Seating standards, which is the same contract-grade durability benchmark used for commercial furniture. It's built to last.

Can the Essential Sofa be expanded into a sectional?

Yes, the Essential Sofa can be expanded into a sectional or a corner sectional using our Expansion Kits.

How do Bench Cushions and Individual Cushions differ?

A Bench Cushion is a single continuous seat cushion across the full width of the sofa, whereas Individual Cushions are three smaller, separate cushions across the width of the sofa.

Are Bench Cushions or Individual Cushions more comfortable?

Both Bench Cushions and Individual Cushions have the same firmness and use the same CertiPUR-US® foam, so this is mostly a personal preference. Individual Cushions can be flipped and fluffed more easily, while Bench Cushions provide an even better napping experience.

Sabai's upholstered furniture is made in the U.S. with our family-owned manufacturing partners in North Carolina and Tennessee.

Is Sabai furniture pet-friendly?

Can I buy replacement parts if something gets damaged?

Life happens. With our Repair Don't Replace program, you can buy individual components - legs, cushion inserts, slipcovers etc. if something gets damaged, rather than replacing the whole piece.
